Once this step is completed, you will have developed a macro deployment flowchart of how the process would work, who would be involved and a belief about the level of performance that the process should be operating at.
How to do it
This step is optional and may be better done after the first round of improvement has been made, due to the need for immediate improvement in the way we operate.

Identify the customer’s real requirements from the process and some factors that would excite the customer if they were delivered and would lead to continued loyalty into the future.
Describe a process from beginning to end that would satisfy these customer requirements if it was operated correctly.
Identify any key measures and operational issues as you work through the process.
